N54 Timing Chain Maintenance
Does anyone know when to replace them? I read online the following:
Engine Drive Belts- Inspect every 15,000 miles and replace every 120,000 miles. They talking about the serpentine belt? Or the timing chain as well? Thanks.

Belt. They are talking about the belt.
If your oil level is always good, and the oil is in good condition, the chains should never require replacement. Low oil level and sludged up motors causes chains to wear. |
