Did you read something that commented on this? If so, please share the link, I would like to read it also. I am curious what BMW has to say on the matter.

No. Our tour guide at BMW's M Studio knew about this story. We got off track somewhat and started to talking about the 1M and US dealer price gouging... and this PDI story came up. He knew of the story and what had happened to the techs.

Glendale is the worst place to buy cars from my experience.... All dealers have bad deals, bad customer service, and now proven bad techs.

well, from my opinion, they did not do anything and allows the car to be sold and more story is coming up and the whole reputation is not about the Pacific BMW only now. It's time to see what BMW NA will act on this.

Good those bums got fired. It's EXTREMELY obvious by the tone of voice, lack of responsibility, and accents that this is Glendale. Did not need any "detective" work whatsoever. Only in Glendale would something like this happen. Hopefully this has been said in the 15 pages of this thread... I'm late to the party and didn't read all of it.

Pacific is the worst dealership I have ever felt with. I was in a couple months ago and I was in a suit and tie after work and no one would even talk to me. No "can I help you" or anything. and the 1m I was looking at was 40,000 over sticker. I hope the dealer gets what is coming to them.

Former employees of BMW dealer charged in alleged joyride

Quote:
Prosecutors filed misdemeanor charges Wednesday against two former Pacific BMW workers who allegedly took a high-powered sports car on the lot for a joyride.

A video of one of them gunning the vehicle down a residential street in Glendale was later posted on YouTube.

Vacheh Margoussian, 21, and Artin Yazidjian, 22, face misdemeanor charges for taking the car from the dealership, according to a complaint filed Wednesday by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Margoussian was also slapped with a misdemeanor reckless driving charge.

As a passenger, Yazidjian videotaped Margoussian driving at a high rate of speed down East Windsor Road, according to the complaint.

The men are scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 12 in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Glendale.

I don't even have a 1m but this is a great thread! Justice to be served very soon! I would definitely not be happy if it were my car!

I just came across this thread and agreed that those fools deserved what's coming to them.

Pacific BMW is probably the worst among all SoCal dealerships, across the board lol

I have never been there, and don't plan on even calling them.

Looks like their chances of working at another dealership just took a nose dive. This reminds me of the kids that shot up people with paintball guns and recorded it.

Joyriding BMW dealership employees found guilty

Quote:
March 14, 2012 | 7:37 p.m.

Two former employees of Pacific BMW in Glendale have been found guilty of taking a high-powered sports car off the dealership lot last November and going on a joyride.

During the incident, Artin Yazidjian, in the passenger’s seat, videotaped Vacheh Margoussian driving the car at a high rate of speed down a residential street near the dealership.

The video was later posted on YouTube.

Last week, Margoussian and Yazidjian were each ordered to attend traffic school and pay a $150 fine after they entered no contest pleas on misdemeanor charges and a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge found them both guilty.

Well it's not like they had much real proof of how fast they were actually going from that video, it's not like you see the speedometer or the tachometer in the video... I suspect if they had gotten a lawyer they could have beaten the charge (not a good precedent of getting some kind of speeding fine just from a video on youtube if you ask me), but that would have probably cost them more than $150.

Also quite disturbing that they BOTH got fined while obviously one (taking the video) was just a passenger. Would they be able claim that as a precedent for giving a speeding fine to all the people in a speeding car?

You can in fact get an estimate of how fast they were going. Since the authorities know where these 2 took the vehicle for a joyride, they can go back to the scene and measure a short section of the road that was shown on the clip in the video and then dividing by the time it took them to cover that in the video. It helps when you have those houses in the background of the video when they where doing their speeding.

So they don't have to worry about dropping the soap... Maybe they'll see Lindsay Lohan in traffic school...
