Code3 Performance Intercooler Group Buy at HP Autowerks, Inc.

Stock boost level
+15.4rwhp @ 5310rpm
+15.2rwtq @ 5310rpm

Pressure drop stock boost level
stock - 1.2psi @ 6450rpm
Code3 - 0.6psi @ 5350rpm

Upgraded boost level (14psi)
+26.6rwhp @ 6040rpm
+23.1rwtq @ 6040rpm

Pressure drop upgraded boost level
stock - 1.5psi @ 5950rpm
Code3 - 0.7psi @ 5550rpm

- Spearco Intercooler core measuring 6.0" thick x 5.875" tall x 22.0" wide
- Tanks are bent from 0.125" aluminum sheet

2 questions: How much trimming is required and does the undertray fit back on the car after it's installed?

There is a bit more trimming on the 135i as compare to the 335i, but you are only trimming plastic.

The undertray fits back on the vehicle, but can be a little on the tight if were trying to install it on your back, instead of on your feet.

I read the 335 install instructions, what exactly is different on the 135 install besides the "bit more trimming"? Can you elaborate on the trimming required for the 135?

Based on this pic, it looks like you have to cut a fair bit out of the back side of the bumper (which isn't uncommon). I'm guessing that's probably the biggest hassle of this install, but will let Harold speak on it...

One the 335i, you will trim about 1/2" away from the plastic support behind the bumper. The 135i will need about an 1" or so.

Bumper can stay on for this procedure.
