Custom interior trim

Got bored today and decided to get rid of the wood trim by painting it. Here are my results. Also did the ignition button trim.

I like it! Does the wood grain show through at all? It looks like what they're doing with the new 3 series sportline trim. any more pics?

That is what inspired me. No wood showing through. I'll take more pictures once it get it all put back in. Entire center console is out right now.

what kind of paint did you use? Did you prime/sand anything?

Sanded, primed with automotive rustoleum primer, rust tough enamel from krylon, then enamel clear coat.
