Burton Racing 128i
Who is gonna watch the 12 hours of sebring saturday?
Firday at 1;00 (i think) is the CTSCC race which will be streamed live on IMSA.com. I saw the Burton racing 128i win at Road Atlanta last year and it was awesome. Gotta love seeing a 1 series race car running on the track. Seems nobody ever mentions the 1 series or bmw racing on this forum??? As for the 12 hour sebring race Saturday. GO TURNER MOTORSPORTS and GO TEAM RLL. THOSE z4 GTE's are bad mofos!!!!

128i in general doesn't get much press here, which makes sense as the majority of the owners have a 135i.

I actually didn't know that Burton had a 128i in the races... Then again, I don't religiously follow it. I'll be watching the 1pm friday race at work Thanks for the heads up!

i learned of the burton 128 team via a past issue of roundel. The 128 doesnt get pub because everyone wants a stanced 3 series. And the few folks that do have a 1, have a 135 as St|g mentions.
Mitchum Motorsports also runs a 128 https://www.facebook.com/MitchumMotorsports |

Awesome, I will definitely watch this. Cool to see a 1 series racing for sure.
I don't get the hate for the 128i, honestly a little part of me is jealous every time I see one on the road.

I think 128i drivers are a little cooler than 135i drivers. Except when they whine about about being teased for being 128i drivers. Complaining about being made fun of by people with insecurities of some sort is just as lame as showing off such insecurities by making fun of someone. My Dyno results are bigger and better than yours = my dad can beat up your dad + 16 years - the maturity that usually is accumulated over said time.
Except for that one kid I met at a 'fest who quipped that 128i drivers were just too poor to buy '35s. I think that's a bit worse and deserved a slap to knock the yuppiness out of her. Didn't give one, of course, but I did mention it. Ah, to be young, dumb, and in possession of undeserved arrogance. Anyway, I'll keep it's victory in my prayers, but I don't receive any channels that would cover such an event, and neither do I possess the attention span for more than a quick scan of the win results after watching a lap or two. |

I have a 128, but thankfully I'm old enough to not give a donkey's bum what anybody thinks. Great car, I wish I had known about a 128 in the race Friday. I'm watching now, trying to get used to the new Ganassi colors. I miss the red, white, and blue.
