What's that awful thing with the 4 rings on the front? Is that a V-dub? Porsche? Wait...they're all the same chassis...
Just kidding. Nice collection you have there. I am currently purging some of mine to make room for the 1SMC. It starts getting pricey. Have had to make some hard decisions lately. Nice that you can keep all of your toys.

I really like the K1300GT. I test rode the BMW s1000rr yesterday and fell in love That bike handled better than my R1's (I've owned 3 R1's).... I'll be picking up that bike next week. Thanks for sharing...

Nice!
I was really tempted by the S4 but held off thinking there might be a chance of either the S3 or RS3 making it over here (good thing I didn't hold my breath). Do you have the S-differential w/ torque vectoring? I'm very interested in your thoughts on how the two cars compare in terms of power delivery, handling, interior quality and ergonomic and daily usability. My current daily driver is a moderately modded B5 A4. In size and weight, it is closer to te 1M than the B8 (well, maybe a tad longer). Since we don't have any kids yet, I figured the 1M should be roomy enough.

If the S4 is a sport touring bike, then the 1M is a sport bike that want to be driven hard! Love the sound of the 1M, still breaking it in, so haven't felt the full potential yet. Not sure why attached photos are so small. I uploaded high resolution pics here. http://johnnyb84.imgur.com/my_garage#4nMw0 Click on"image options" top right to get get "view full resolution". |

Only thing holding me back from getting it is my lack of riding talent, and real concern that my 19 year old son would kill himself on it. |

The leather on the Audi is better IMO. I went basic on the 1M, so adjusting my seats manually is a pain in the 1M compared to the Audi. The Audi would be my choice if I only could pick one car. It's snows up here, and Quattro rocks! Four doors makes life a lot easier if you have friends/family to ferry around. But I love the look and sound of the 1M, and can't wait for a couple of track days. You can tell she wants to go! Actually I was a passenger in a 1M two weeks ago on the track, and wow that was amazing! Way more fun that the S4, including some 4 wheel drifts at high speed. Of course the instructor driving it has 200 times more talent than me, but at least I have an idea of what it can do. Something to aim for. |
