OEM, easy swap if you have a n55...1M drive shaft, 1M/M3 output shafts, M3 diff.

No it wouldn't. Gear type LSDs become open diffs when 1 wheel is unloaded/has zero traction.

My racecar has a diff built by Diffsonline, and for my 128 I will not hesitate to get one from Dan.
That said I wanna expand HeelToe's explanation; there is also something called breakaway preload ... Basically when you approach/enter a turn, the car needs to overcome the preload to break the "locking" between wheels. So that car can actually turn, like an open diff if yiu will... You need to adjust your driving accordingly at track or at street

WTB E82 7-speed rear diff for core operation
guys/gals -
got a deal with Wavetrac for installation of LSD but need a 7-speed rear diff to send out, get fitted and then resell my factory pumpkin... anybody got a DCT factory diff that needs a trip to california? thanks. |

Yup, basically the whole complete rear end setup from a M3, and a 1M or custom propshaft, and then swap over the 135 rear brakes into that M3 setup.
