Wow, crazy. You'll have to update your signature then too since the original beast is not dead! Next on ABC's Resurrection...

Hey guys, it seems I was very lucky. The seller (who had bought the car from the importeur) gave me back my money and all the expenses I had for oil service etc.... he's now trying to get his money back from the guy he bought the car from...

@chunner I would like to say a big "thank you" for your help on this. I would've loved to keep the car, but in that way it has no warranty or whatsoever with BMW and I can't ever resell it if I had ever wished to do so.

Search for another 135i goes on...

I recommend walking away.

This car will always have this "history" out on the Internet for people to see when they Google the VIN.

So if you buy it, and then try to sell it in the future and you disclose the history (as you should), it will always be more difficult if not impossible to sell it.

There's always another car.

Does the current owner know this history? It's quite possible they don't...

Karl.

if i bought it and will sell it again, i never cheat.
i have send the carfax to the owner, he said he will ask the guy who sell it him. but he is not answer to my emails. when he is goin again to mobile.de or anything, i told to service.
its risky of oxidation or electrical damage in the future?
when i can have a good price i'm not sure if i will buy it.

This is an amazing thread. Not only did the OP find the car's previous owner, he also got his money back.

Hello Adrian! I feel that we are connected. I custom ordered that beast to fit my exact needs and am happy it found another home! The water damage was minimal. It was in my garage at the time of the hurricane. That is why there was no body damage. I honestly do not think much water seeped into the cabin. Maybe a 3 or 4 inches. I am pretty sure who ever salvaged it replaced the wiring harness[s] and other electrical components. In fact, it actually started after the water damage. Nevertheless, my insurance company decided to total the car based on their anticipated cost of repair, which I thought was really silly.

If it has 18,000 Km... I think you are alright. Any issues would have shown up by now. Remember, it had 250 miles on the clock when it left me.

Good luck, have fun and take care of it. Cheers. Post some pics when you can!
