Will the BMW 1 series, sold in the US as 2009 year model, be restyled for 2011 as the first generation would have completed its seven years/ generation run in other than US markets?

That is what I have read, but its not just a refresh, rather a whole new car.

2007 was the update year for the current 1-series in Europe.

A new 1 series may appear in Europe in 2011, but you probably won't see a new 1 series here for at least another year or two after that.

I agree. If the dollar stays this weak, BMW will like kill the 1 here or raise the price of the 3 to make room for the 1... or they may do both.
