I've noticed that the power steering is pretty unpredictable when its really cold, at least until it gets warmed up. It was horribly bad when I parked it for three weeks over Christmas.

First off, you warm weather climate people can bite me.

-5 here the other morning, but I can't say I've noticed any appreciable difference in the car during cold weather. It starts fine and warms up about as quickly as can be expected.

Heated seats are a big plus though.

Also, I've driven it several times in snow/ice conditions with the stock RFTs and it was doable. Really, unless their bald or a high-performance summer setup I think the driver counts for so much more than the tires. Take it slow, use smooth even acceleration, and avoid any sudden direction changes and you'll do fine in most city winter driving conditions with the 1 in it's stock form.

And yes, as soon as I wear the RFTs out I'm getting a 18" setup (already got it picked out).
