Cigarette burn in headliner, what to do?
Long story short, my friend accidentally burned 2 small holes in my headliner with a cigarette after the driver (not me) misshifted causing her to lean forward unexpectedly. What's the best way to fix this without getting a whole new headliner? I could probably just go to a fabric shop and have it reupholstered, but what would be the best? Keep in mind, i live in Germany so everything would be in euros, and it's pretty expensive.

1) pick up replacement headliner. Check with Dan @ United for guidance. Look into anthracite headliner swap while you're at it.
2) Don't let anyone smoke in your car. |

Yeah probably. I'm probably just gonna rip out the headliner and recover it myself to save some cost and do what i want with it anyway.
I didn't know she was smoking in it.. but my general rule (and everyone knows it) is that if i'm driving it and I'm smoking, then the front seat passenger may smoke too. If I'm not there, then smoking is not allowed. This is the last time i let someone else borrow my 1er.. between grease and lotion on my steering wheel and a cigarette burn... in less than 2 weeks |

You trippin foo!! Letting a chick drive your car when you're not in it. I sometimes let my dates drive home from dinner after they ask me a million questions during our meal about how they have never heard of a 1er, never seen a 1er, how fast it is for being so small (Dinan Stage II), how they've never hooked up in a 1er (appropriate? haha), how they've never driven a 1er, etc. But never alone. Yikes.
Anyway, I'd swap it out. The cost is your penance man. If you try to fix it yourself you'll end up spending some money and lots of time and it probably won't look stock. My 2 cents. Good luck man. |

No, only 1 friend. He just drives people back and forth to work in it. I'm in the military, and my group of friends are mostly people in the same platoon as me. I usually give 3 people a ride to PT formation in the morning, and 3 people a ride to work call at 0900. Since I had surgery last week, I'm unable to go to work or drive, so i let my friend (male btw) borrow my car so he can get to work and make sure everybody else that i usually give a ride can get to work too.
