Carbon Fiber Trunk Roundel

I have noticed that the BMW Roundel on the trunk has a concave shaped back.

Does anyone know where to buy a Carbon Fiber trunk Roundel that will fit on the E82?

Thank you

You can get overlays through Bimmian. Not sure if someone makes a true CF replacement roundel though.

The 1-Series has an odd shaped rear roundel so we don't offer a full replacement at the moment. We do have the vinyl overlays however.

Think of all the weight you'll save by switching to CF roundels...

5 grams...
Enough to justify the $18 + $20 shipping for me
You think R.W.R (responsible weight reduction) is a joke?

I was just giving the OP a hard time about CF roundels, because they're obviously an aesthetic decision on his part.

But are you actually defending their use as a performance mod?!? Even if I beleive your weight figures, I don't see how a reduction in weight of less than two-tenths of an ounce is worth $**t, much less $40. But hey, spend your money how you see fit, and do let us all know how much your lap times improve.

You obviously don't understand that CF just makes the car go much faster.

Concave is tough to get around. Sounds like overlays are your best bet until some companies start producing them.

Clearly every ounce of cf on your car gives it an extra 5bhp/5lb of torque. that's a fact!

BavAutosport has red and black overlays. No red CFoverlays, but they do have black CF overlays.

If you actually find red and black roundels for the rims/trunk /hood let me know.
