Digital Speed Display
I was wondering whether you can get a digital display of your current speed to show up on your dash (where it shows cruise control speed etc) and read it can be possible through a secret menu on the i-drive.
However i couldn't find much info as to if it's possible on a new 1 series. Has anyone done this and if so how do you access the secret menu? |

Actually I'd like the instantaneous fuel consumption readout. I had it on the 135 but it's missing on the 1M.
Likewise the digital speedo is kinda pointless, I never pay attention to it. There's a much bigger display just above! |

If you cant read it at a quick glance (which you cant in my opinion) then you might as well use the conventional speedo... |

Its useless compared to the speedo, but not when you code out the built in "error" to the digital speed so it reads actual speed and not "speedo speed". Very useful for setting cruise control etc then!

I guess i got used to having the digital speedo on the Golf and found it so much better and easier to read than the conventional speedo was, would still like to have it as an available option even though it sounds like it may not be of to much use due to the size of the readout.

I have the M3 digital speedo coded on my car. He is what it looks like. I have it coded to read true vehicle speed and not the +5% value that the speedo head reads.
