OT: Coding is so addictive

Got my coding cable last week and have been playing around, so addictive!

There is one function though that eludes me despite hours of searching as well as playing around with the lines of code in different modules. I cannot get the convertible roof to close by pressing lock on the remote (I do not have comfort access). Has anyone figured this out yet?

So far I have coded on the x5 (2008)
- remove I drive disclaimer on startup
- tv function on when driving
- AE as DRL
- windscreen wipers will park itself ie complete cycle even if car is turned off before wiper finishes its cycle
- brake force display on: additional brake lights come on when brake is activated, really bright!
- digital speedometer in cluster and showing actual real speed of car
- additional option in I drive where I can adjust the sensitivity of the light sensor

And for the 135 vert
- digital speedometer
- for some reason the I drive disclaimer disappears after a few secs so I did not need to code this
- BFD apparently already active but does not show additional lights on pressing the brake pedal, still trying to work on this one.

EDIT: pls scroll down as I have attached a list of codes gathered from various places on the net - 16 pages of code!

There is no choosing option to do anything with the convertible roof. There is an expensive module you can but for keyfob or relay for buttons up front

Do you have a piggy on your 135? wondering if you had connectivity issues if you do. My x5 coded a treat, but the 135 with the procede randomly comes up with connectivity errors reading CAS and coding, then i retry and it works, sometimes after 2 retries. Couldnt code a couple of modules without first putting the procede into bypass, so i assumed it was the issue....

Keen to do some coding myself especially the iDrive disclaimer. Can you tell me where you got your cable from?

You have to put the procede into Valet mode

It seems that the procede causes connectivity problems where the jb does not. Procede needs to be in valet mode as luster has pointed out above.

The consensus says that one stop electronics is the place to buy from. Make sure you also get the adaptor so that you have full compatability for all cars from 1998 - current. The site will also give you a few pointers as to where to start.

You will also need to download the latest software.

CAS KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB Closes windows + moon roof through Key Fob

CAS KOMFORT_EJECT When turning the engine off key fob will be ejected from socket. (Need to hold start/stop for extra 2 seconds)

ABG SBR_FAHRER_1 Disables seat belt chime for driver side
ABG SBR_BEIFAHRER_2_CD Disables seat belt chime for passenger side

FRM (NFRM) ASP_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP (or SPIEGEL_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP) Folds side mirrors with FOB and CA. Requires that closing windows/moonroof with fob also be enabled (KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB)

There are lots of other options mentioned on the site above as well. Some apply to specific cars or model years. I am waiting for my cable, and have started setting up a small laptop running NCSExperten in preparation of the coding.
Thanks for the information, that site is my friend at the moment.

Have already got those codes from reading the site. I have tried the CAS module as well as the CVM module for the top but alas no luck.

Some good codes you point out nonetheless.

And for the 135 vert
- digital speedometer
- for some reason the I drive disclaimer disappears after a few secs so I did not need to code this
- BFD apparently already active but does not show additional lights on pressing the brake pedal, still trying to work on this one.
Would you post a pic of the instrument cluster showing where the Digital Speedometer appears, please.
