Ok, am I missing something here? Surely a 4 door hatch would have been a better variant.

Front is a bit questionable, but the rear is quite nice. Overall a pretty nice package.
Curious as to what they did with the suspension - hate how it's just M-tuned - what does that even mean??? |

Different damping? An explanation of the sales to me today was that the M Performance will have a body kit, wheels, suspension (i.e., dampers/springs), brakes and engine could be tuned on a Series car. A ///M car will be essentially a different car - with major reworkings of most parts. Eg, E92 M3 share little parts with a E92 coupe - they just look the same.

Adding to that like the current M5 has a revised chassis where the rear axle is directly bolted to the chassis rather than to a subframe.

Bit confusing. Where does it sit in the pecking order vs the E82 135 M Sport Coupe? Supposedly above I guess. But it's a hatchback and IMO it looks really soft compared to the E82 coupe. Granted looks aren't everything but I prefer the outgoing E82.

See the for sale sticky :P That said, e87 looks better, and for the price difference could have an n54/55 in mine with the suspension sorted! |

I like the idea of M Performance, I think it'll be good competitor to Audi S cars. Mostly, I really hope these means we get balls out M cars in the future, with fewer compromises. |

I'm curious if this is N54 or N55. Run-flat tyres?
Anyway I am not a fan of the styling - I'd rather wait a couple more years for the 2 series (F22) coupe. |

yeh the 1 series isn't too bad, looks horrible in photos but in person its decent. and its growing on me.
the only issue is that you know they will fix up the look in the facelift, and maybe go the new F30 style. but to me this M135i looks like it'll have the same specs as a 135i M-sport. just rebadged to make it more differentiated marketing wise like the S3 is to the A3. (also a good excuse to charge more for it!) doesn't really fit the mold though, coz those M550d's are a fair bit different to the normal lineup. anyway i like it.. hopefully when it comes in the price is right.. |

though maybe if you add a lower rear lip and lower it (or slam it maybe) it'd look pretty hawt?... though then again, the headlights are pretty fugly too maybe they'll offer an E81/87 front end conversion aftermarket? i'd be down for that... Last edited by flinchy; 02-25-2012 at 11:51 PM.. |

The F20 125i is just launched on the BMW aus configurator.... along with the Msport pack. Im convinced its actually not that bad looking... maybe its the 2-door making the front look out of proportion.
