255/35/18 on 18x8J

i just bought a set of Performance 269 rep and need some opinion on the tyres to fit them in.

Front 18x8 ET 35----> gonna fix 225/40/18
Rear 18x8 ET47-----> 245/35/18 or 255/35/18 ??

The rear would be pretty much more perfect if its 8.5" wide but this is not available.
Currently on Breyton GTS 18x8.5 ET35 225/40 all round. Would really love to have more meat in the rear!

So...should i go 245 or 255 for the rear given that its a 8" width. Opinion and pictures pleaseee.

Stick with the 245/35

I have the 269 Performance wheels; 255 in the rear, St Coilovers, no rubbing...slight rubbing with my Winters only which are 17s.

Oooops...my rear is 8.5 with an ET of 49 (?)...thus, as above 245 is probably the widest.

Argh. seems like there's quite limited choice of tyres for 245/35/18. thinking of mounting 245/40/18 instead. Much more options and in particular i am looking to get the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2.
