Defecting to the dark side...

im thinkin about defecting from the 335 and trade it in for a 135 soon. Other than the fact thats its smaller and truthfully SLIGHTLY less attractive is there any advantages. I know it weighs less.

PS i plan on heavy tuning. Not gonna be a DD

When my 335 sedan lease ended, I picked up a new 135 with DCT. Both are my DD. For reference, I never modded my 135. Currently, I only have the BMW perfomance exhaust for my 1. I loved my 3, and love my 1 now. However, they're different beasts. The 1, so far, is more fun to drive, overall. It just feels faster (i.e. go cart effect). The appearance thing, is subjective - even when ordering my 1 (and choosing between it and a new e92), I felt the e92 was slightly more attractive. Now, though, I've grown to like the appearance more and more each day. I rarely see pictures that do it the justice of how it appears in person.

If you get a 2011, as you likely know, the N55 engine isn't quite on par, yet, with the tunes or aftermarket parts. However, the DCT is amazing (I know manuals are hard to give up, but DCT is sweet).

Hey eleven11, can you explain your sig?

2011 135i Sedan

Did you somehow create a new model? Personally, I'd love a 1er sedan, or 5-door hatch, but suspect this is a holdover from your E90 days.

Ha! Sorry man - nice catch. Yes, it's from my e90 switch. Oh, the pic under my name is the N54, also... need to fix that too.

Edit: Done

It's not less attractive than a 3. It's got more aggressive look and that's what I wanted. A series only offered in a coupe in usa.

Me, too

After 10 days of searching, and finding a 335i I wanted, I drove a 135i one more time and backed out of my purchase of the 335i and have now found a 135i that I want.

The 'One' was simply more fun to drive! Felt quicker, and more nimble; mainly, I think, because of the lighter weight, but also the 4 inch shorter wheelbase. So, not really needing a larger back seat, I'm now a '1Addict', soon to get my first fix! I pick her up on Monday!!
