You will just have to get a roof rack - i am sure they are detachable.

Wow. I had read SCOTT26's previous posts that made it clear they would not offer many features in the 1M to keep the cost down, but didn't realize their decontenting went this far. I guess we should be glad that they are not removing the rear seats to keep the cost down. What else are they removing? A/C and stereo?

In the late 70's (early 80's?) Chevy offered what they called a "Scooter" edition of the Chevette. It was decontented, so they could advertise an artificially low price. Good luck, at the time, actually finding one of them. But my brother ordered one. It included thin fiberboard door panels with a thin vinyl layer over them (as opposed to the solid molded plastic panels in the regular car), and what Chevy called "rear seat delete" - there was no rear seat.

My brother ordered the "add rear seat" option, so his car actually had a rear seat.

I personally dont think BMW would go this far. How much rigidity can you really add by doing this?

I think it would help, and I also expect they need every bit they can muster, with putting WAY fatter than stock tires, WAY further out.

They may have a cross stabilizer behind the rear seats that is metal.
So technically the seats may fold, but the metal makes the seats folding down useless.

My deal breaker:
No machine guns and missles.

Thanks for a sight hint of expectation, but scott 26 HAS been correct on his postings.

I was going to order tomorrow, but yes now I will have to wait until the car is officially release will full specs.

For those who love their bikes as well as their car this was a tremendous disappointment to me.

If this is true

next dream:

redesigned 1 or 3
C7 (yes I can put a bike in a C6 coupe)

The reason that some of us are hanging on for the 1M and not jumping over to a Cayman S is because the Bimmer will be an exotic with rear seats and usability. I always have a base support and snowboard rack fixed to the top of my 1er and the rear seats are regularly down on trips and business.

If this is true about the rear seats.. I think I'm out by default. Can't bring myself to believe it so not throwing any tantrums just yet.

For me the deal breaker is manual only, not that I can't drive a manual its just that these days, with kids, talking on phone whilst driving to work, stop start traffic, I can't really be bothered with the manual.

SCOTT is not 100% Correct. That has been proven here before.

Assuming that it will fit around the extra exhaust bits on the 1M, the Curt hidden hitch is a good option as well.

I have an easy solution to ease your burden a bit: stop talking on the phone while driving.

#1: Availability for Euro Delivery.
#2: Price vs. options. If it's <=$45k base, that's fine.

Colors/options don't really matter much.

Right if you own a Huffy. When I retired, I had a chance to work in a bike shop or my local BMW dealer. Yes I choose the bike shop. My bikes are huge investments (cervelo, calfee, and santa cruz) each customized to me.

Yes you can go on top, or backdoor (hitch/rack or rack) but after working in the bike shop the only place to put your bike is in the car. Trust me.
