Noisy rear springs
My rear springs seem to be making alot of noise. They don't seem to be broken (if you push on a rear quarter it doesn't bounce like an old caddy), just very noisy, like an old bed..
I don't really know too much about suspension, but is this something I should be concerned about....maybe fixable? I'm still under the CPO warranty, and I heard the newer springs are better, would it be worth it to have the dealer check on them, and hope that if they are replaced, they use the newer (linear vs progressive?) springs? I plan to eventually upgrade the suspension with coilovers/sways, but that's still awhile off. |

Give the dealer a shot - they have set procedures for determining causes and resolutions for noises, and the fact yours is a very clear noise should make it easy for them. If it was a defective spring (I doubt it - I suspect a noisy bushing(s) somewhere), they would give you an exact replacement for your year.

If able, check the spring pad, it may have dislodged and squished out a bit.
If so the only repair is to replace them... this is a matter for warranty somewhat common
