Awesome, the best thing about this DINAN FMIC is the shroud that prevents all that cool air from spilling out and of course we can't forget about all those beautiful hand made welds.

A total beauty!

I like mine too. I'm curious if you'll see any real difference on a dyno, though.

This makes me want to take out my cheaper intercooler, cut out a shroud like that and weld it on. That thing is a work of art.

Now, I am not calling your ETS FMIC cheap. You did, but it would appear that the DINAN FMIC actually costs less to purchase.

ETS intercooler $950

DINAN INTERCOOLER $850

No flaming here. I'm just letting you know. That is all.

Looks nice. Hope this does not turn into another Dinan hater thread.

It looks really nice. This would be a new and reliable upgrade option for people who are hoping to retain the stock piping hardware?

Chunner please don't poke the bear. I don't want this turning into the Dinan turbo upgrade thread...

Yeah I know there are a lot of people who are looking for that, so this would certainly be one option for them going forward that we could point them towards.

Thats true. Its also one of the biggest cores available and bolts right in with a little trimming. I'm curious what the shrouds will look like once installed. I don't know yet if its more of a gimmick or actually helps direct air into the core.

Looks pretty nice. I like the pains they went to for making sure air will flow through the core and not around.

What other mods? Are you running a tune? Its "designed for stage 3" but I'm sure it'll be an upgrade over stock for any tunes/mods.

I wonder though his much trimming is considered minor?

I wonder too, looking at it, it is hard to say the geometry of it, usually you can't get a grasp on how much trimming you need until your head is under there, ya know what I mean?

I will say this, though, once I decided that the trimming was something I was going to do and really didn't care how much trimming was required, I realized that the excess plastic BS I was hacking apart with my dremel, really wasn't structural at all in nature and I wouldn't have cared if I had to cut even more than I did. I guess what I mean is once you go for a little, going for a lot really isn't that much different. It does look like a nice part though.

Yea I'm not new to the idea of trimming. My other car had a welded half cage haha. It's just if I can keep one of my cars in stock trim with reversible mods -- that would be the preference.

Dark, I'm Dinan stage 2 with BMS DCI, N55 Midpipe, BMW Perf Y-Pipe, Berk Street axle back. Eventually my plan is to get a Dinan oil cooler and move on to stage 3, but you're right, the intercooler should give me a bump in performance in my current state.

I'm wondering too. I'll let you know after the install. I'll try to grab some pics of the plastic I'll cut out.
