I would think the only reason the driver might "run off" is if they were really drunk and figured that a "hit and run" would have a less severe penalty than "DUI" (unless car is stolen). I think both are pretty serious, so don't know how much that would help.

If the story had been read, people would see that the word was the store was her dad's. Makes since with the 7er showing up in the later pictures. I, too, was impressed how well the front end held up.
