Anyone go beefier with a taller sidewall??
The m sport rear wheels are 245/35/18....Like to try a 45 for both front and rear when the time comes....Im guessing u plusher ride with the taller sidewall and still good handling depending on tire choice...
Anyone ever try 245/45/18's before? How do they fit and how does it handle/ride?? Thanks,

Your spedo would be way off and you would rub. Why would you want to do that? If you want more comfort get a 17 in rim.

225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear is popular in this forum. Those sizes will give a noticeably softer ride. If you're also switching from OE runflats to non-runflat tires like Michelin PSS, that will also give a softer ride.

 Seriously, my main reason for going taller wasn't ride compliance, it was an accurate speedo. 235/45 in the rear has my car measuring darned accurate now. (Have a pair of 255/40, but couldn't fit them with the wheels I chose.)

Well I have 225 40 17 front and 245 45 17 rear. But I guess thats because I am running 17's as opposed to 18's.

Generally I don't recommend bumping up a tire profile, let alone two. It'll dramatically throw off your speedometer and the overall circumference and diameter of your wheel. Cross reference http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp and punch in the tire sizes. You'll see the overall diameter change and speedometer difference. You'll want it within 3% of your OEM sizes. If anything, I just recommend moving from run flats to non runflats. Like everyone stated, it's a night and day difference and I'm sure you'll be happy with the smoother ride. 245/45/18's would be huge on the 1-series.
