Certainly right around the deadline. Interesting to see a F10 M5 owner considering one.

ordering is done for the E82. I ordered mine at the end of July and it was TOUGH to get an allocation even then as most of the orders were already in the system---so mine was an existing allocation we were able to alter to fit my needs.
you can, however, find plenty of 128s and 135s lingering unsold across dealer lots----mostly in automatic gearboxes though, unfortunately. you still might be able to find some manuals though, if that's what you're looking for. Do a search. I know the dealer i ordered my 135is from had a Le Mans blue 128i manual with the M-sport package at the time of my order, although that may have sold since then as i didn't see it when i went to go pick up my car a few weeks ago. there are lots of 'demo' 128s around that were used as loaner cars, but unfortunately all of them are steptronic....plus i doubt you'd want to buy a loaner anyways!!! |

you will have to call some dealerships to find that out. At the end of July there were VERY FEW open allocations remaining......so i am guessing there are no more remaining for any E82. As for an E88, i'm not sure what the situation is.
what are you exactly looking for? what specs? do you think you cannot find it already in stock somewhere? |

There are a LOT of 128s out there to be had, so may take a lil researching, or you could have your dealer do a search as they can quickly pull up all the ____ colored 128s in the country, etc. in no time.
Also, a lot of dealers are listing their inventories on autotrader, so you might want to try there as well and just put in a manual 128 with X miles of you, see what comes up. I think you should be able to find what you want or like and they're offering some amazing discounts on them, too. |

Benefit of the 128 that they're a dime a dozen. You should be able to find one that is at least close to your desired car, regarding options that is.

Not really that many new m sports w/ manual transmissions for sale, especially if you don't want the premium package. Even used there don't seem to be that many, but that's not to say there are none. Also, from what I've been told, I'd avoid the SULEV (N51) motor. So that limits selection, too.

So here's a one http://www.eimports4less.com/detail-2011-bmw-1_series-128i_coupe_push_button_start_keyless_entry-used-10988848.html[/URL] No sunroof, sport package (not M sport), MT, N52, low miles. I'm tempted, but it's all black ... not my favorite (sorry if the link is weird).

6 speed manual is the option to get over all other options, it was my only requirement. I do wish i had msport for the bumpers and the black window trim, but meh those are easily fixed.

08-10 cars had the option of standard, sport, and M-sport packages. BMW combined the sport and M-sport packages in 2011 with the introduction of the LCI model. If OP could find an earlier car with the sports package, the only major differences would be the bumpers and black lines.
Here's a 2010 with sports package. OP... I would hunt down this car: http://www.autoweek.com/article/2010...IEWS/100409863 Last edited by Dafttt; 10-10-2013 at 02:28 AM.. |
