BMW Performance Brake Kit no longer on RealOEM

As the title states, the BMW performance Brake Kit no longer shows up on RealOEM. Not sure what this means as I've seen things go away and come back.

Easy enough.

Full kit for the 128i which includes the 42 mm piston rear calipers is 34110444772

Front only kit (for the 328i, etc.) is 34110444738

Since the components are identical to the brakes on 135i minus the PY paint, BMW will continue to make the 135i pieces for 10 years from the end of e82 production.

It's just a heads up.

FWIW, if you try to piece together the 34110444738 front brake kit with new parts you're looking at $1740.86. The kit is just $1158.72. (prices courtesy of http://www.thebmwminipartstore.com)

Realoem now lists everything under an "Accessories and Retrofit" category instead of under other sub-categories. Sorry for the alarm.

Wasn't it under the brake category before?

Is it actually an upgrade or just the same 135i brakes painted yellow?

Same as the 135i, it's only an "upgrade" for the 128i.

Stock 128i rear calipers have a 40mm piston, vs. a 42mm piston in the Performance rear kit, right? Is a stock 135i rear caliper 42mm as well? Meaning if my car has the Performance brakes front and rear (as opposed to front only) it's now the same as a 135i on all four corners? Curious for eventual rear replacements.

The 135i has 42 mm rear pistons but 324 mm rotors so the BMWP brakes on the 128i have a little more front bias, 65.6/34.4 vs 63.6/36.4 for the 135i (based on rotor and piston sizes) which is not necessarily a bad thing if not gone too far.

I found this photo of the 42mm BMWP rear calipers. I see there's a "42" cast into the caliper. Is that my best visual cue to differentiate between them and the stock calipers?

Looks like I've got the 42mm rears, thanks for helping me confirm! I'll still only be able to use standard sized 128 pads and rotors with these, right?
