Yeah I've definitely driven mine more ... I purchased it with 14,500 miles, and I'm now at 21,250 miles. My work commute is about 10 miles each way, which adds up the mileage fairly quickly.

Yearly low-mile oil change yesterday (and some free wiper blades) and she's ready for year 4. |

Taking mine in on Friday for the same. Year 4 starts 6/8/2016. May consider going Dinan or talk to the dealer about a possible M2. Man how the time flies by.

Did my low mileage oil change, a full scope and wiper blades to boot last Wednesday. The service advisers lovingly call my ride the "Beast". I do not know why but that is the handle they gave it.

Sup guys, I'm still alive, and still loving the car.
That said - it's been three years and despite my original intent to buy it and keep it forever, it is a lease, so it's decision time. I've heard they are offering decent incentives to extend the lease, but I may just buy the car out and then keep it or sell it since my value greatly exceeds my residual (car is only at 13,400ish miles). I've still got the E34 540i/6, which I am also contemplating selling in favor of a more practical car. Neither of my cars are practical, and I think I need to drop one of the two. The E34 is a maintenance nightmare, but I love the car, and it's classic. I'm fairly deep in it money-wise at this point, and I'd like to get some more mileage out of my dollars. I find myself breaking my neck looking back at it as much if not more than the 135is. The 135is would be easy to keep, but if I'm going to give up the E34, why settle for the 135is when I could just sell it and get a 1M coupe (for a few extra bucks on top), or maybe...maybe an M2 - for my non-practical car? I've got till October, but I can turn in the lease anytime. I'm just chewing on it, since I'm not sure what I want to do.

You've got plenty of time to decide. BMW will certainly have your hands tied in the interim though cause they won't release title and let you buy it unless and until the airbag recall is performed. So, just wait and see how things unfold, especially 60 days out.
With that said, I'm always a proponent of a 1M purchase as we all know the IS is a gateway drug to the 1M (and coke). In the meantime, throw up some pics of the progress on that black E34 for our viewing pleasure. |

I think you can extend the lease on just about any car for a few months; I knew someone who did that with a VW a couple of years ago. Beyond that I think you would need a new contract.

Damn, you guys don't drive your cars!
I got my '13 135i in July 2014. It had about 3300-3400 miles on it. It has over 25K now. Of course, it doesn't help that my commute (4days/week) is 75 miles/day. Then again, we need more of you guys out there! Do me a favor? Go buy an M2 and don't drive that also. I'll be ready for it in a few years...

Plus, I thought I was supposed to keep this one cozy for you and miles down for a few more years so you can start over again? If I tried to drive 75 miles in LA traffic, it would take me all day to get there and not be much fun. MG4LIFE |

3 year service currently. Still love the car as much if not more than when I picked it up almost 3 years ago June 8th. 35k miles and many more to go.

I just hit 39k miles sadly. I celebrated by buying a 200k mile E34 for $500 as my new daily-driver now.

Still a money pit, I've had to replace both water pumps, all the PS hoses, window regulator, serpentine belt and pulleys/tensioner, etc.

Just bought 135is
Hey everyone, I am new to this forum, but a long time BMW fan, and owner. Just sold my 3 series, and fell in love with my brothers 335is, and happen to stumble on a 135is at a nissan dealership in Reno. They originally had it listed as a 328, and then a 135. I saw the 135IS badge in the picture and ran the VIN. Sure enough it was a clean titled, 6MT 135is with 52k miles for $23,000. I put a thousand down over the phone, and began a 18 hour trip with my father in law. The car is everything I expected and more! So my biggest question is what can I do right now preventative to keep her purring? Water pump, hpfp, Ect? Thanks Guys, and Gals!
