Wouldn't the FP be a similar setup to the 3582r? I'm aiming a bit higher than 750 so I think a bit bigger should be the way to go.

I have a kit on the way with a GT3582R turbo. It's not the GTX model, but this thread has given me some hope of my 600whp goal! I drive a 10' 135i.
One question I have is do we have to drop the motor to get the top mount manifold on? FFTEC claims this should take just as long as a twin swap.

No need to drop engine. Installation of a single turbo, complete with the manifold, is an easier job than replacing the stock twins.

Thanks bro! The motor mount will have to be unbolted though right?

The low to mid range is lost, due to the lag, but once it kicks in it's fantastic. Couldn't be happier... We did everything in house, similar to the fftec top mount kit.. Here's a few pics... Turbo is a Garrett gtx3582r.. Anyone else went single turbo?

Yes. In fact, a replacement passenger side motor mount is part of the MOTIV kit.

Great thread,

Cant believe you are running that intercooler tho lol.

Loads of lag aswell.

Are you running 19" rears on the front- looks like it by the pic you posted?

Has anyone built a fast road/track 1m with a decent custom manifold and twin turbo's?

Thats the route im planning once i sell a few of my other cars off to clear some funds/time.

cheers jamie
