Changes to 135i Step After Newest Software Update

Today was the first day I drove my car since it came out of the shop a month ago. While it was in the shop the dealer gave me the newest software updates and there are a few changes to the car.

First off (and the one im happiest about) is that my car now has no more long crank issues. This is a car that took up to five seconds to start during the summer and now it is starting literally instantly.

Secondly, the car's idle speed has been dropped to just over 600 RPM, it used to be around 750. The idle is much smoother and quieter.
On small hills the car actually rolls back before throttle is applied, just like with a manual. It took me by surprise the first time, but it is apparently normal. Note the dealer said that they can play with idle speed and make this effect go away.

Third, The car's computer was also completly reprogramed around the fact that my car now has a performance exhaust. I have no proof, other than the butt dino, but the car seems a bit faster now and it has almost definently been remapped slightly, as it has power much closer to redline than it did before.

All in all im liking the software update, all of you guys should get it.

Garage List
can they remap a car to the specifications of having a performance exhaust without it actually being fitted ? my car is scheduled for programming today, however my exhaust arrives 2 days from now

I have no idea man. My dealer did all of this without my knowledge and told me about it when they were done.

Im pretty sure your dealer has no "Performance Exhaust" specific remap. Plus an axel back has no affect on the performance of the motor.

Not driving your 135i for a month could make your car feel a bit faster then you remembered.

I think you're going to have to post up a service invoice to get anybody to believe this one.
