Polishing Bug Marks out of 3M venture shield

Can anyone recommend a means of removing bug marks from paint protection film. Some particularly acidic little blighters have left etching marks behind. Assume I need to polish it, but is there anything that can restore the shine without damaging the film ?

I've tried Zymol HD cleanse so far and that didn't shift them. Do I need to buy a dual action polisher and try a bit harder ?

Thanks

Pete.

I had the same issue. Can't use anything abrasive etc. Trick is actually WD-40 or Q-20 lubricating oil on a MF towels and spots come right off. Alternatively something like 'Dodo Juice Prime LITE' or a paint cleanser without abrasives.
Aren't the bug splat marks etched into the film from the acidity of the bug remains? If so, wouldn't polishing be the only way to correct the defect?

If you have concerns of yellowing, avoid petroleum based products. You can find petroleum concentrations on the MSDS for each product you intend to use. I have film (xpel ultimate) on my AW, so I have taken this precaution since yellowing on white cars is worst case...even switched to water based tire dressing (film also used for rear fender protection).

You've found the reason why I don't bother with clear bras. They end up looking worse than the exact thing you're trying to prevent and with hard rock strikes the paint can still chip under the film leading to paint chips when you go to remove / replace your cover. You cannot polish, correct or clean them with normal auto products. Also if you live in a climate like the pacific northwest their porous nature is a great breading ground for nice green moss that will turn your wrapped panels a light green hue.

Anybody want to refute this view for a midwesterner--I was just about to go with the Xpel after having 8 visible chips in only 3500 miles (the orange seems to be VERY brittle!)
