I might be the minority since I am not a fan of blue cars.

You can combine the Estoril Blue votes with Monte Carlo Blue since they are basically the same. I voted for Estoril Blue instead in that thread because of its history, but I would love Monte Carlo Blue just as much!

While Interlagos Blue or Lemans Blue would better, the MC blue would be a serious thought, I'm much rather that than the orange. Tho the orange is growning on me.

After seeing this:

ME, ME, ME!!!!! Absolutely. That would be sweet.

Honestly, any of the following would do it for me: LeMans, Interlagos, Estroil, Mystic, Montego, Monte Carlo, Avus

PLEASE, PLEASE give us a blue option.

I would take it over the VO without a doubt

This car deserves a blue color in the line up IMHO!!

I have a question for you SCOTT26, why can't we have it in other colors such as blue, sliver, red or grey? why limting it to three colors only?

Offering it in the three colors won't stop us from buying it for sure, but for a lot of us it will be our dream car. Why can't we have our dream car in the color we want!! at least offer it in the normal 1 Series colors + the VO

Look at it this way, we would be much much much happier if we had to chose more than three colors

Love this car....but

Let me first say that I love this car. I love the 1, I love the idea of an 1 M, I mostly love all of the modifications that will be done to this car. I have followed the 1 series from the very beginning, when it was launched as the 120i hatch in europe. As you can see from my join date, I have been into this car for a long time and definitely will probably do whatever possible to get my mits on one of the Ms.

However, the automotive and sales/marketing professional in me is seeing a lot of silly/stupid things about the rollout of this car.

On one hand, they talk big game about this M car reaching a new younger and less afluent crowd, but then they limit the car to 2500 units? How are you going to reach new demographic segments when it is unlikely they will be able to purchase one new?

Then you have the color issue. Again, they say they are going after somewhat of a new M crowd (compared to current models), one that is passionate about driving, enthusiastic about cars (and not just technology), and emotionally driven, yet they limit our choice to three colors (not necessarily bad ones, but still)? This car needs a palet of cool, different colors. Give us Laguna Seca. Give us a true red. Give us a choice!

BMW has long been a hallmark for automotive marketing genius, but in this instance, I think they are making some poor choices....They are losing out on a LOT of potential profit by limiting the production and color choice of this model, IMO.

Sorry for the rant

when your spending 45k-50k on car you can't settle for a color that you find so-so and the most preferred color in the world is blue. So why not have this badboy in a killer blue!

^^^

Thanks, Longhorn, excellent post, all true.

IMO the coolest selection offered by BMW on any model is those on the X5M/X6M...

That M3 Edition in Monte Carlo Blue is even extra crazy-cool with the black wheels. And just check out the seats for that car...

UnFreakingBelievablyAwesome!

In a 1M, that's what I want...

Best tone it down a bit in here, no way we're seeing a Monte Carlo 1M - hardly ever see a Monte Carlo M3, so doubt we'll be getting one any time soon

I like Monte Carlo Blue, probably more than the 3 choices. I have Le Mans Blue and am loving it. However, usually after owning a color, I like a change, and recently have a thing for nice red cars. I almost ordered mine in Crimson. How about a Henna, or Imola Red. Even Crimson??

I think BMW can and will get this right. Why would Scott ask us who would order Monte Carlo Blue if he wasn't speaking to BMW about adding it?

Keep the comments coming from those who want to buy BLUE!

I've owned 5 BMW's since 2002 and they've mostly been black with one being silver grey. If only black, white, orange and now MC would be available, I'd really consider the MC since I think a good metallic paint will show off the new lines of the 1M the best.

We need a blue!

How about a special 1M FAB Edition (Forum Addicts Blue edition)- A group purchase deal?
We get 25? 50? people who want blue and we will bulk purchase?
And we all want the BMW Performance Seats!
