Intro

Hi Guys,
My name is Anthony. I have been following your posts for a while and enjoy the conversation and interesting facts/advice. You sure know your stuff and seem to enjoy your cars.

I've had my 135 for a year and loved it thus far.

Unfortunately last week I took an M3 for a test drive.......big mistake. I cant get the sound of that V8 screaming at 8000rpm out of my head!
I told me GF we were trading in!

Yeh dude at least get rid of those RFT's and put a tune on your 135 then take the M3 for another spin and see if you are still keen to drop an extra 100

Thanks.
I thought about doing some mods. It would have to be all BMW performance stuff or it would void my warranty wouldnt it?

Well decent tyres are all ok and a tune would technically void warranty but pretty simple to take tune out prior to taking the car in should anything go wrong.

Have a look through the posts there is a heap if info and to the best of my knowledge no tune related issues

OP I'm in the opposite boat to you, I'm considering a second hand E92 M3 but it's hard to justify spending more going to a slower car!!

I think the E92 M3 is a great car and sounds awesome but a nicely modded 135i will run rings around it. But maybe OP wants the M3 for a good all rounder. Go for it.

Ur right. The M3 is a totally different car. I was shocked at how different it is and know you shouldnt compare....but jumping back into my 135 (stock I admit) after having driven the M3 hard for an hour...I felt there was something missing. Its not power, because the 1 series has heaps...maybe its just the way the M3 delivers it!

You need to drive a 135i with a tune/suspension - it transforms the car

Don't worry about warranty so much if you go piggy back as others have said you can undo it in no time

Do not void your warranty! It is akin to the end of the world as we know it. You cannot overestimate how destructive it can be to your life.
