JB3 - Does it not tell me what map i'm in?

My car came with a jb3 installed, or so the buyer said. I havent taken the car apart to see if its in there yet, i figured that there would be some way that the car would tell you which map you've selected.

Apparently after trying the pedal switch method of changing maps, either i didnt do it right, or you're supposed to just assume you pressed the pedal the correct number of times and you got the map you wanted, because nothing happens... Advice?

Theres really no way of knowing the map your on besides the obvious difference in power.

You could get the usb cable attachment then use a laptop with the JB software to see what map you are in.

Other then that get a P3 Gauge or upgrade to the JB4.

Well theres a video showing how to use the pedal for map changes, but while driving you cant check the map(I know its very stupid)
I recommend just upgrading the current jb3 to jb4 I think its only 150$ and use that until you decide on which tune you want to run!

I already know i want cobb, I am familiar with them and not at all with the JB platform. I thought the JB4 cost like $400 or something, correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure the steering wheel buttons do not work on JB3, that was a feature that was later added on the JB4.

I suggest you take a look inside the ECU area to determine what you have.
