there's a DIY on here and it calls for 9L IIRC
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=777083 however, ECS tuning sells a kit with a new transmission pan/filter and it comes with 7L of fluid I will be using this kit: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-135...ion/ES2523893/ |

I thought it is lifetime fluid and doesn't need to be changed? Not that I agree with it just saying...
Be sure to post back with how it drives afterwards! Last edited by Adam135; 05-06-2014 at 07:22 PM.. |

Just did mine this weekend and used a touch over 7.5 qts.
I was at a loss to whether I leveled the tranny or filled it as the car sat. First time I did it I leveled the tranny on the hoist to within 2 degrees max. It took almost 8 qts so I drove it a few miles and this time I raised it as it sat and a cup or less ran out but it was also about 10 degrees warmer than the first time. Just my experience.

No, no differences noticed. I think it was a little anal to worry about but it gives me something to worry about.
