Eisenmann Muffler or Muffler and Sound Pipe/Mid Pipe
Hey guys, I am looking at changing my exhaust and initially considered the SuperSprint as I had my car tweeked from Evolve. I have deliberated on the manufacturer a lot and have decided to go for an Eisenmann Sport Muffler/Backbox. The PROBLEM is that I am not sure whether to purchase the Backbox with the Midpipe or on its own. Eisenman have 2 mid pipes, a reasonated/non-reasonated. Without the benefit of intelect I think I should go for the non-reasonated as I dont want the exhaust to be too loud. Eisenmann cannot guarantee no drone as the car is not stock. So what is the safest option as I dont want DRONE???? I already have N55 mid pipes which I have not fitted and have this up for sale as I think the Eisenmann Midpipes would be better suited to the Eisenman Muffler??? I look forward to your comments.... I am also running out of time to accept a small discount from Eisenmann so your speedy comments are appreciated. Many Thanks

In the past there have been quite a few reports from 1M owners who opted for Eisenmann complaining about an increase in drone. I advice you to dig in the older threads in the engine/exhaust section (from 2012 mainly) and hope for some users with direct experience pop in.
I also remember how good Eisenmann was sounding from posted sound clips when it is mated with a good mid pipe. So, don't take this input wrong, just trying to help here since you said you want no drone at all.

Berk Mids plus Eisenmann Sport
I have the Berk Mids and Eisenmann Sport, and I'm happy. The drone is not really that noticeable. Originally, the OEM setup droned a lot more. With this setup, the RPMs at which the car does have a bit of drone moved lower (now 2000-2200 vs 2200-2400). I attribute that change to the mids (I changed the axle-back a year after the midpipe). Again, it's not enough to bother me. The cold start up is really sweet, with more bass tones. At WOT, I don't think it's that much louder though.
Fitment is great. |
