Can you run no rear exhaust on the 135i?

Gday,

I was going to get the Afe race rear section, but then I was thinking, is it possible to just run no rear section? Are the exhaust hangers in the right place so it would be secure?

Also for those that have tried it, is it much louder than running a straight through pipe like the race axle backs?

I wouldnt mind trying it as it would cost next to nothing, and just install some dummy tips. I dont drive my car daily, only when im going for a nice drive, so im not too concerned about exhaust fumes dirtying up the underside of the car or getting into the cabin.

Thanks for your advice

You can have any exhaust shop fab up an axel back for not much cash. It'll be loud and drone.

Why not just run a 12" dump tube right off the hotside.

I was rearended and the axel back and mid pipe section separated before I could get it fixed at the shop.......i definitely DON'T recommend running without the axle back, unless you like your ears ringing and a headache

Its definitely not that loud. Those two tiny turbos make pretty good mufflers.

Or maybe run a diesel(120d) rear section with no muffler?

DO NOT run with out exhaust!

It will melt brake lines and such

Just use a muffler delete
