I thought the ride over was quite pleasant... The boat itself is ok, not much entertainment but if you're with others then it's fine. I didn't book a room, only the ocean recliner, and slept fine. Departs 7.30, so a few hours of bantering and whatnot, sleep, wake up and you're there . Just still quite pricey compared to a flight for passengers, otherwise no real complaints there.
