Your car is an E82 1 series? If so, you would be better off with ET40 or ET42. It will be a nice flush fitment for the front.
ET40 will be a good fit for the rear too, but you can put a small 3~5mm spacer on the rear if you really want to. |

Really, with an 18x8 ET35 225/40/18 square setup? No flame, just really curious because ET35 is really aggressive for the 1-series.

I've seen people run 18x8.5 ET35 on the front with a 245 section tire with no issues...So bizarre that everyone says ET35 is a no go, but one guy actually did it without any problems...dunno where the discrepancy lies.

That is possible if you have around -3.0 degree front camber, and maybe roll the front guards as well. I used ET38 front wheel and a 245 R-comp tire for track use. The camber makes a big difference.

for what its worth, he has a thread up on stanceworks and here...i believe it's a set of BBS CH-R's 18x8.5 ET35 fronts on 245 section tires. I believe he said he was around 2.X degrees of camber and no fender modifications.
I'm hopeful because I want to pick up a set of wheels that are 18x8.5 ET36. I figure a slightly skinnier tire and 2.X degrees of negative camber and I'll be good too. |
