Alternative to Akra tips?
Hi,
I have purchased an Akra slip-on with wireless kit to go with my Maddad mid. I didn't purchase the Akra tips because in Aus they are asking $2000. I figured I would get an exhaust shop to fabricate something or I might be able to find another clamp-on exhaust tip that looks good? I'm not too fussed about the look of the Akra tips, its the sound that i am interested in. Has anyone seen an alternative to the Akra branded tips that I could finish my system with? This Swiss company Trackparts offers the Akra system with there own brand titanium tips http://trackparts.ch/Akrapovic-BMW-1-M-Coupe-Slip-On I like these tips but haven't heard back them yet. Picture attached. Any info on other clamp-on or rivet on alternatives would be appreciated. T |

http://www.racingcarshop.com/benz-au...ir-p-2000.html There are quite a few Akra style knock offs. I think I would prefer a non-carbon option if somebody has an idea? |

I found an alternative, ordered them two weeks ago, arrived today, made of SS with titanium look treatment and real carbon fiber, custom made (size, diameter and length) for my needs.
I didn't have the time to check them all but took photos of the first I opened, looks pretty sweet. I'm very curious to see my car with the kind of tips (M4 Akrapovic carbon tips), never seen one before. Check photos attached :-) |

I am also interested in an alternative to the Akra tips. I like the sound of my 1M but as all car nuts wonder about adding more sound. Unfortunately, there is nowhere I can listen to a 1M with Akra slip on. I don't want to spend 3-4K and I might not even like it.
So has anyone found a good looking tip that would work with Akra Slip on? I do like the BMW Performance tips, they look pretty good. The chinese Titanium ones are too big. I like more understated. Please let me know what people have found out in regards to using other tips. thanks |

The advantage with these tips is that I could choose the look I wanted and also the size I wanted as I didn't want them too big. Mines are barely bigger than stock at 80mm each from side to side. Perfect size in my opinion. This Akrapovic Slip-on with N55 mids sounds completely insane, gets louder from time to time, I just can't believe how agressive it is. 2/3 times louder than stock. Tips still look great. |

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DHL-...575651915.html I asked alot I mean ALOT of questions to this guy and he was always pretty honest, excellent communication and fast shipping. Real carbon fiber and stainless steel with titanium treatment, looks like titanium. These photos are from when the tips were new, I think they look even better now. |

By the way I think it is not very easy to order the exhaust without the tips nowadays, I was able to do it because I know the chief mechanic in BMW office which works directly with Akrapovic and he ordered it himself, anyway Akrapovic didn't allow them to order the exhaust and tips seperately so everything was sent together, but BMW only sold me the exhaust and kept the tips for themselves (which are useless) so they made me a favor. They still have the tips in their showroom after 7 months.
