I sure didnt that. I basically said I dont want to pay for a mod that I am not initially happy with. If its so cheap and easy to make the grills on their diffuser look good ffs, why cant they do it. Thats the whole reason im PAYING for a manufacturer to make a part for me, because I dun feel like DIYing all my mods. Let them tack on another $50 for a much more well made grill. And honestly, with the fact that the ICarbon one is around what I would expect to pay for a quality ACTUAL CF piece and BMW's perf diffuser actually being more expensive, it gives me doubts that the scorpion one is REALLY as spot on to ICarbons as they claim. It may look fairly close, but whose to say its the same quality wrap and material?

Because 99% of their customers are happy with the mesh. You are the only person who has brought it up in general other than it coming with silver mesh first and then changed to black mesh. Why raise the price of something when 99% of people who purchase it only care about the CF weave & quality / fitment and not the mesh? It's general business sense.

I said you could change the mesh yourself for 20$ because you are the only one that is unhappy with it and you don't even own the product. I paid 450$ for my iCarbon diffuser and I would not pay any more for it after comparing their quality.

Different wrap and material? If it looks extremely similar then they used extremely similar wrap and material. It is very easy to tell between Bad/Decent/Amazing CF.

exactly, just look at the piece Vivid was trying to push a while back, just looking at the weave made you feel dizzy from how bad it was.

and for the scorpion mesh on their diffuser, its not that bad, nothing a can of black spray paint cant fix

I will never buy another icarbon piece!!!!! I waited 3 months for their rear trunk spoiler and the weave and finish is TERRIBLE. I was so pissed that I spent the money and time waiting on it that I almost chucked it over my house into the woods. The reason their products are so expensive isn't because of quality, it's because their isn't any competition and they knew that. I feel stupid for believing all the hype from some of the people on here.

Like I said earlier, if we support Scopione and they see it they will make us a hood and trunk.

They are already working on a front lip after my poll. Not to mention that Scopione actually has good customer service and Mike replies within 24hours which is great.

My story before I sold my 135i and bought a 1M

Let me start by saying icarbon had OKAY product. Nothing worth close to there asking prices. Website advertise in-house design but in fact nothing was there own design other then a little bit of the lip.

Worst thing about it, there products were made in china. I am guessing no one has had an icarbon product for more then 1yr right? It will turn yellow very very soon. When I called them about this issue, they replied by saying it was just the shade of the carbon which was complete BS.

Another big thing that pissed me off was there false advertising. They DO NOT clear coat there products like they say on there website. Everything that you buy from them has gel coat, not "German MIPA Layce Clear Coat for ultimate shine".

Quote:
icarbons website---
Most of the Carbon Fiber industry uses various cost-effective manufacturing processes that compromise quality and fitment. At iCarbon, compromising quality is NOT an option. We manufacture our products via Closed Mold RTM (Resin Transfer Method) construction using nothing but the highest quality carbon fiber fabric and resins available on the market. This method of manufacturing carbon fiber products is used by high-end automotive companies and OEM suppliers such as BMW, Aston Martin, and many others. RTM yields products that are lighter, stronger, more durable, have a perfect carbon fiber weave (no bunching or change in direction) all while providing much more consistency from piece to piece than other manufacturing methods. Please read "Technical Specs" for more information!
^^^^^ All this is complete BS and just marketing : [

Now for the good news:

Slek, the creators of the first 1M lip, are coming out with a full line of products for the 1 series within 1 month. Hood, trunk, lip, side diffuser, rear diffuser, and rear side diffuser.

These guys make nothing but quality stuff. In-house design and manufacturing in Long Beach, CA. How do I know? I just picked up a 1M lip from there manufacturing location and saw them working on a 135i.

But...but...but everyone said that iCarbon products were just as good as the BMW Performance pieces!

Fucking sheeple. I saw the same cult/herd mentality with Riss Racing. I'm still waiting for everyone to make excuses for their superlative products and customer service. Go on, you couldn't be stopped during their marketing pinnacle.

that is awesome!!!!! Hope the fitment will be spot on. Best part is that from the description the hood and the trunk are double sided carbon fiber and priced at the same the icarbons single sided carbon fiber trunk and hood.

great find!!!!

The hood, trunk, trunk lip, roof spoiler, and interior pieces fit the 128/135.

I forgot to add the cf roof also fits the 135i..that should make a lot of people happy.

I am with these guys, not trusting Revo until we see actual products in someone's hand.

On the other hand Slek is working on a hood, trunk and etc. I trust them more since they actually have lips being shipped / on people's cars.

I don't have any experience with this company. I don't know if they are definitely going to produce us a nice line of products.

I do know that they have actual pictures of many products on a 1m on their facebook and that they are a large company with an extensive line of carbon fiber products for nearly every brand of enthusiast cars. So it's weird for me to see people refusing to believe that this company is going to make products for the e82. I guess other companies have traumatized this forum's veteran members with false promises.

It's possible that their plans will fall through and make me look like a dumbass, but it seems more likely that they will make the products.
