looking to get PPK done in bay area or central valley

I'm a new 135 owner and I'm already interested in the PPK 1, looks like I already have the oil cooler. Unfortunately the bmw dealer in Modesto is slow in returning calls and quotes high sticker prices for maintenance contracts etc from what I've seen, anyone have an idea who the optimal dealership would be to price and install for me?

Much obliged.

When I was looking to get PPK1 installed, both BMW Stevens Creek (Santa Clara) and Peter Pan BMW (San Mateo) really didn't want to do the work.

They both said if anything happened during the install (e.g. fried the computer), the repair cost would be on my nickle... for a BMW accessory installed on a stock BMW car at a BMW dealership...

Then I called BMW Fremont and they couldn't be more helpful - and certainly no pants-on-fire reaction to getting the PPK1 installed.

Maybe its because its a smaller dealership... but I dealt with Justin Carlos and I found he was both knowledgeable and really on the ball with regard to customer service.

Don't know if he's still there, but give him a shout.

Karl.

PS: Immediately on picking up the car after the install, my P3Cars guage showed error codes 2F83 and 2F81. Cleared them, they never re-occured. Just an anecdote...

PPS: I was lucky and only paid $300 for PPK1 (and 1 hr of labor to install). The "list" price is $800, but if you're shopping on BMW USA's accessory website, you can get it for $660 when you select your center (i.e. dealer). However, IMO it's only worth about what I paid for it and not much more.

Reach out to Joey at BMW Concord, he's the service consult there and will point you in the right direction.
