Who's on the Courage this week (Voyage EB608-COG)?

I am in CT (so the car came off the boat in NY) last Wed, and I just got the car last night (Thursday) so it took 8 days to go through the VPC and 2 hours up the road to my dealer

my order process so far:

1/28: ordered car; put down deposit (fields BMW in Northfield, IL)
2/8: 800# status in production -- munich plant. est. completion 2/15
2/13: 800# status in body shop est. completion 2/15
2/14: 800# status in paint shop est. completion 2/15
2/15: 800# status in transit
2/15: BMW NA operator said car done 2/14 and enroute to port of exit
2/16: 800# released to a carrier and awaiting transp to port of exit
2/17: 800# being transported to port of exit
2/18: 800# at port awaiting shipping vessel
2/22: WW received at terminal in Bremerhaven
2/23: WW loaded on Courage
2/25: 800# in transit
3/13: WW discharged at Charleston, SC port of entry
3/12-15: 800# at port awaiting a shipping vessel
3/16: 800% in transit
3/18: 800# at port awaiting a shipping vessel
3/18: OC at prep center

As you can see our ability to track the car is pretty minimal once it gets off the ship. The 800# is probably 1 day behind and OC 1.5-2 days, so I'm thinking my car made it through VPC on the 16'th and is on the truck to my dealer now. Guessing it will arrive Monday or Tuesday.

Mine left the VPC on the 16th on a truck to Michigan. Per Bavarian Motor Transport, it should have arrived on Saturday. As of last night (Sun), it still was not there. Hopefully this morning it will arrive and they will be able to get it prepped ASAP.

Cool Bob T -- I actually went to my dealer on Sunday and walked the lot...no joy. How did you get this information from Bavarian Motor Transport? Was that info gathered through your CA?

Actually, the headquarters for Bavarian Motor Transport is located across the street from my office. So, doing what an impatient e90 customer to be would do, I walked into the office on Friday and asked if they could tell me when my car would be delivered. They said they could not release that info to the final customer but only to the dealer. The frauline did hint that it would be in on Saturday. I do believe the dealers have a regular channel to get the trucking info.

Mine is being held up at the VPC in SC for the software update. I guess all new 3,5,6, and 7 series are going through the same thing. Pushed my delivery back by about a week.

Took delivery Thursday evening with 10miles on odo. No problems with car so far. Getting used to the trans/clutch; learning all the controls and settings. Mated phone (RAZR V3) with bluetooth and programmed my garage door opener.

First impressions: love the car -- even better than I thought it would be. The car is especially impressive on the highway. Had a fun shakedown cruise in the form of a 165 mile each way day trip up to Wisconsin. Avg speed 63mph, avg econ 29mpg. Cruised 85-90 and hit 100 for 1 second - a non event. Strictly obeying the break in no full throttle, 4000RPM or below, 100mph or below, varying engine speed -- no cruise control yet.

Here's some photos a couple of days after I took delivery. Some next to my dad's E46...and the one older photo is of my E30 - a 1986 325e that I bought used in 1995 as a college car. It had 100k miles on it. That's what started it all I guess...
