Long day yesterday...! Finally got the KW v2 suspension installed yesterday. How do I feel about it? Horst from VR who installed mine had an m3 race car in which he gave me a ride. My car gave me a similar feeling in handling. I didn't go for a huge drop since I don't want it for the looks and I am allowing the springs to settle before i go for further drop and the rebound compression is just set at 30% stiffer. My suspension now feels like a envelope, the feeling is more like it hugs the road closely and it is not harsher than the original sport suspension. Gimme a couple of hours as I am going for a long drive and I'll post some pics.

Heard there is a bimmer meet on next sat June 6th at autozone in B'ham. Anyone int?

Congrats on the suspension, man - sounds really nice and am anxious to hear how you like it after a few more miles. I call first dibs on taking a ride in it!

Concerning the meet, if my car shows up this week I'd probably be game to go check it out.

Oh, I have no worries... If I were you guys, I'd be sitting around thinking the same thing. "Hmm, is this thing really as fast as I think it is or did Jason really know something that I didn't."

Just like I tell my buddy who drives ONLY domestic vehicles (and thinks anything that's imported is a "piece of shit"), "I choose to drive whatever is most capable."

In the end, there's only one way to tell for sure... Let's line 'em up (just don't miss 2nd 'cause mine won't!).

Found a thread you may be interested in, Clayton:

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9872

/me updated his user title as well.

EDIT: You know, this post brought it all together for me... If you're going to be hauling stuff with the car, it only makes sense to have the same kind of transmission as a big ol' semi. Sure there aren't more than 6 speeds in that? Next you're going to tell me you're having the rear coils replaced with some heavy-duty leaf springs!

I think you should leave it raised up all the time and throw on some slicks! Then it'll look like an old muscle car... You know, like the ones from the era when it made sense to have the tranny you're sportin'?!

I could do this all night, but think we should focus our energy on figuring out which EM we're going to be running and how the hell to make this damn DME work for us!

BTW, I added this to the original post, but wanted to get it here too:

We're most definitely doing a local 1er gathering on August 2nd. Nothing is set in stone for activities, yet; however, I'm open to suggestions. At a minimum we'll be doing dinner somewhere, but there's still the possibility of other things (i.e. Dyno Day, Karting, etc...). I'd suggest that we do dinner somewhere around Royal Oak since we'll likely hit up Woodward later on, but we can venture out a little from there since a little driving wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings!

So my CA called me this afternoon and told me the car was supposed to be dropped off today, but he walked the lot and didn't see it anywhere... While this bummed me out, I knew I couldn't pick it up tonight anyway (damn school!) and it had to be somewhere on their lot. So on my way home, I stopped by the dealership and drove around the lot and sure enough, there she was!

Sorry for the crappy camera phone pics, but it's all I had available... Good pics to follow pick-up!

Thanks!

Clayton says these meets can be somewhat lame, so I'm back and forth about going now...

I guess if you found a way to make it out, I'd probably go, otherwise it's up in the air.
