1M Upgraded Intercooler?

Has anyone been able to determine whether the 1M has the same intercooler as the 135i? Sure would be nice if it was an upgraded unit.

Same question with regard to the primary and auxilliary radiators and the oil cooler.

Thanks.

Neil

I know they're not necessarily equal, but the 335is N54b30a lists the same intercooler as the 135i N55.

Any idea whether this intercooler is larger than those that were installed on the earlier 335 and 135s?

Real OEM lists the same part number for an 11/06 build 135i as for an 11/10 build 335is.

Thanks for checking -- that's what I feared!

Since heat soak is common on the track with the N54 (even where limp home mode is not triggered), I'm hoping that the 1M will have a larger intercooler.

Guess we'll have to wait for more details.

Agreed. Since a lot of the work on the front bumper seems to be about air handling, hopefully cooling will be greatly improved over the 135i, even if it is still the same intercooler.

I would not count on a different FMIC for the 1M. There is no need and would only increase the cost.
But good hopes that existing aftermarket FMIC will fit the 1M. I have an ETS and if possible put it in the 1M.
