And I can say with 100% certainty they do. Unless there are different stipulations in Canada than the US, that is what should be done, here.
The policy is identical in Canada as in the US. The only difference is in Canada you are able to do a low mileage annual after only 9months/10,000 miles where as the US a low mileage annual can only be performed after 365days. If your center is resetting your CBS data they are doing you a major disservice.

I stand 100% corrected. There was a period where they were told to reset it, that has such been changed, and I am totally wrong in the matter.

Just had my annual oil change and my CBS data was not reset. As a result, it's showing 5000 miles until the next service (which is coincidentally my oil change interval).

So you're saying I got a free low mileage annual oil change and then I get my scheduled oil change in 5000 miles. If so, that's great.

Also regarding 365 days, my dealer was not very strict about it. My last annual oil change was 3/29/2011. I took the car in on 2/27/2012, and the CBS said 3/2012, so he said close enough, you get the oil change free as your annual, even though technically it was almost 11 months exactly.
