Loud pop😱

I have been getting this loud popping noise from the right side of my car on occasion and I have no idea what it could be! The first time it happened I had actually just left the dealership and as I was driving over a railroad track and i heard a pop! Every time that it happens i have driven over a bumpy surface in the road. Any ideas?

Inside the cabin and from the pillar or dash? Join the club some have it worse than others, and mine is not too bad. I rarely hear it but that could be b/c of the music playing

Do you drive a vert? I get the same noise (what might be the same noise) and I just assume its from the top and the nothing you can do about body flex associated with a vert.

I drive a 2008 135i coupe. It does sound like it is coming from the cabin! I havent noticed any changes in anything..the suspension, steering, etc. I am having my oil changed on Sat and also have a request for them to investigate it. I am out of warranty so I will have to pay for it, 55$ diagnostic charge. The more I think about it I will prob cancel that request.

I would have your suspension checked. Could be a bad ball joint getting ready to pop!

Had my a/c fixed a month or so ago, which required removal of my dash. It's now pushing 100 out here in Socal and I now am the lucky owner of the much dreaded pop too. I needed my a/c fixed, but this sucks. I've pulled off the a pillar cover on the right side and it's much less, but there is another clicking sound coming from there that I haven't nailed yet. Don't let them touch your dash if the thing is quiet!
