No way I would use Simple Green on my seats. But then, my seats don't get very dirty.
Instead of Simple Green, I use a little Woolite, like a capful in a bucket of water. It does just fine in removing minor dirt. I have used the "Leatherique Twins" with good results. I do it on a hot day. You want the interior to be good and warm, for best results. I'm sure that there are other good products out there. Meg's APC comes to mind for cleaning. And, if someone buys a neglected BMW with funky seats, well then, stronger products are called for. I've never been led astray by what I read on Autopia, in terms of exterior/interior care. It is a fantastic resource. Someone once told me that if one buys a new BMW, and keeps up with maintaining the leather seats, they should last the lifetime of the car. I do believe that. |
