Quick Solo D-stock Eligiblity Question
Just picked up an '08 135i which I'm planning to autocross.
Is removal of the camber pin from the front struts a legal mod in stock class? The previous owner of my car had taken them out. I need to know if I need to find a new set. |

It's legal on the 3 series since there is a TSB listing that as a factory approved method to adjust alignment. Last I checked there was not a equivalent TSB for the 1 series, even though the suspension is the same. It's legal as long as the factory says that is an approved method for adjusting alignment. Hopefully someone knows of a TSB for the 1 series.

Solved
I talked to some other folks that race BMWs/MINIs.
They are considered to be assembly pins and only used to get the struts in the right position when the car is being put together. They can come out and still be stock legal. |
