2008 BMW 135i - CPO, Sport Pkg, etc... how'd I do?
Hey guys,I just put money down on a 2008 135i at a local dealer. I originally went to test drive a 128i loaner for $27k that they had since they didn't have any used 135's listed. Well anyway, once there, it turned out that they just got a 135i trade in that wasn't listed yet so I took it for a test drive. After driving it I knew right away that the 128 vs 135 is really no comparison in terms of driving fun.
Anyway, below are the specs... how did I do? I think I got a pretty decent deal but wanted to see what other people's thoughts were. What the car has included:
So for pricing I got the car for $30,965... about $1000 off the asking price of 31,900. I also got it with 0.9% BMW financing for 4 years, where BMW pays the first 2 payments of the car up to $500 per payment. Anyway, what do you guys think overall about the deal I got? Good/bad? I guess either way I think I'll love the car. I'm set to pick it up next week after they clean it up/etc... I think I'm also going to have them put the original wheels back on until the summer time. Don't think the 19's will hold up well in the winter with potholes/etc. around town. Pics: |

Pretty decent deal and great financing Love the wheels and car but I am partial to the black 135. Since your trim is black you may as well go with a blackened badge

Great idea to buy a CPO 135i....only way i would buy a used one as well..I did too. You got a fairly good deal with the CPO but BMW dealers make there money as they probably paid 23-24 grand tops for the trade in.

Thanks guys, I think I'm happy with the deal I got though I suspect I won't really know for sure until a few months from now after I've had a chance to get used to it.
The only thing I wish I had was the 2009 updated iDrive/Nav. Of course, I'm coming from a 2001 Lexus IS300 that only has a 6 disc changer, so no matter what I'm upgrading. I just have read that the updated iDrive in the 2009's and later is much much better than the 08. Of course, had I bought a 09 or later I wouldn't have gotten the financing I got so it probably wouldn't have happened anyway. |

I think you paid way too much. Based on what you listed, the originally MSRP prob was just over 40k. That car depreciated way more than 10k in 4+ years.
The majority of the options you listed are standard anyways.... Does the car even have leather? Either way, enjoy the car, and good luck. |

Just to give you an idea, this is for a convertible, with more options than yours. Just under 27k, without negotiating. I would reconsider your deal. |

Yeah I probably did pay a bit too much but the deals already done so there isn't too much I can do now. Either way I'm very happy with the car and very happy with my experience with the dealership I bought it from!
