I still wonder why some folks are paying more...and getting less for their $$.

The mention of this rubber damper in this thread has been making me think also, I don't remember if I installed this or not. If it will ever quit raining here in Georgia I'll go check it out. Or I guess I can just go check my stock muffler in my basement.

It was one of those final production details we added in so all of the product built-up photos never had it. I'm 41 and often have two child seats in the back of my car, anything and everything that was resonable to minimize drone I wanted in this exhaust..hence we added the little damper as a final detail. Its minor but makes a difference.

Midpipes, midpipes...no doubt . I'll shoot an update when I have some real updated info. Still waiting to get the car back in the shop.

Maddad: I have to say I love the sound of the Whisper coupled with catless midpipes. Gives it the low baritone rumble I am looking for, most other setups out there seem to bring out raspiness, so used to a V8 rumble and your setup seems to come very close to it!

A few quick questions: when do you expect the release of the catless midpipes? Any prelim and ballpark specs (weight, price, etc.)? I imagine it would trigger a fault code should the cats be removed? Do I need a simulator or any other measure to go around the CEL?

Also, what are the specs of the axle-back exhaust alone, most concerned about weight vs. stock. Lastly, I believe the Whisper tips are 3.5 inches - how does that compare to the stock sizing? Many thx!

In a product build up thread I did a weigh-in and if I'm not mistaken it was 18lbs which was considerabley less weight than the factory...we probably gained another pound though when we added the factory rubber vibration damper mount which wasn't on it when I weighed it in...but 18-19lbs is it +/- .5lb or so.

Midpipes have been a moving target. Delays early on were because I did not have it as a top priority with a couple other exhaust projects we were working on at the time, however it's the top priority right now. I'm not giving dates because I keep moving them, I'm just targeting end of November to have a set that we can show and have a firm price and at that point I can give a real production date and will start taking orders. I can't really speculate on the weight yet, I think I would get it totally wrong. If I had to make a guess I would say find out what a set of CPEs(or any other brands that use T304SS) weight and then add another 4-6 pounds.

The mids replace the last two cats..the front cats(downpipes) are still left in place, those are the ones that cause the cels to be thrown. There are no 02 sensors sniffing the exhaust stream after the last two cats, which means the factory ECU doesn't bother with them and that means you can eliminate them without triggering a cel. Our mids will be a bit special with mini resonators hand made to look like the factory cats and I'm sure that will add to the cost. I'm targeting about $750 for the mids which is in line what others cost that don't even have the resonators. That's a ballpark guess right now. In the end it will represent the same "value" that our axleback section currently offers and it's easy to see we have the best value by a long shot on our axleback section. It's not just about it being the lowest cost axleback(excluding units that have no muffler in that assumption) either. Under close inspection you'll find the TIG welds the full T304SS and the attention to detail to be better than most of what is out there today as well. At the end of the day we built this exhaust for me, and I live in MA. and get real winters with the road grim and the road treatments that corrode any exhaust that isn't the highest quality materials. So everyone else benefits from my pesonal requirements

Thx for the feedback, R. I too would be interested in getting the full cat back system so pls keep us updated of availability and pricing for the 'package'.

I wish there was someone near me in NYC to hear it in person, the YouTube vids realy don't do any exhaust justice...

Got mine on Thursday. Installed it in about 15 minutes. Amazing quality & work. Fitment doesn't get any better than this either! Fits just like the OE axleback. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive it much so I can't comment on sound yet. Thanks for the quality piece Rich!

I was traveling the end of this past week but spoke with our fabrication shop before I heading out of town. I have one exhaust with SS tips left in stock then we will be out of stock for about 3 weeks. Regarding the midpipes, I will definatley have pricing for them this week and I'll post an upated ETA end of the week. Glad still Steve got his installed and there should be a few more folks chiming in soon with their new exhausts as well. Happy driving.....

Yeah, I tried getting some decent clips a while back when I installed my axleback but all I have is my digital camera and the clips didn't do the exhaust justice.
