US Info on "P1" and "Performance" - what are they?

I've seen multiple references to P1 and to Performance 135's (in other countries)

As far as I can tell when I go into the BMW dealers around here, I can order all but the seats from the Performance catalog. Is this the only way to get those parts in the US? Is BMW building the car out with those options instead of selling aftermarket - but only in europe?

Is P1 the program where Bmw lets you paint the car with any color they've ever made? Is there a list of P1 colors you can choose from for a certain price on the 135?

I will be ordering custom, so this won't effect my decision but it may help, as I'm having a VERY hard time choosing a color that looks great with the performance mirrors, stripe and front/rear valance - besides the AW.

I think you're refering to Priority 1 which is a status code for a car. BMW sometimes allows for different pay code / interior colors for customer allocated cars. Priority 1 means the car has a customer.

Unless you are very well-connected within BMW you won't be able to order any special colors outside of the normal ones, unfortunately.
