Proper torque lbs for wheels

I just got a winter wheel set from tirerack and I was wondering what's the recommended lbs of torque needed to secure the wheels?

If you have BMW's jack kit, it comes with a pre-set torque wrench. Handy.

wish every tire shop I've been to knew this, they always over torque the lug nuts. After my last visit I struggled with a breaker just to get them off.

Throw wheel studs on your car, and when you take it to a shop let them know if they torque over 90 ft-lbs they will snap the studs.

Have worked for me so far.

For me maximum torque is 100-110 Nm (74 to 81 ft.lb) for Alloy wheels.
